Center-Based &
Home-Based Programs
All of our programs offer health and education assessments, and family support.
Early Intervention & Early Childhood Special Education:

Supports families in completing the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and ASQ:SE / ASQ Evaluacíon de Desarrollo, annually.

Addresses family concerns and assists in completing referrals for outside services.

Works closely with Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP) to help families complete evaluations, and offer onsite services for children.
Health Screenings:

Dental, growth, vision & hearing screenings in partnership with University of Portland nursing students and Casey Eye Institute
Support for the Whole Family:

Goal setting

Mental health support, in partnership with Morrison Family Center

2 socializations offered monthly, either in a classroom setting or in the community (as permitted)

Center-Based Programs
Head Start, Early Head Start, and Parent Education
Head Start & Early Head Start:

Quality full-day childcare and preschool, Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Classrooms are located in North, Northeast and Southeast Portland.

All children are offered breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack that meet each child's specific allergy needs as well as CACFP/USDA nutrition standards. See USDA Nondiscrimination Statement.
High School Classrooms for Teen Parents:​

Classrooms are available at Franklin, McDaniel, Grant, Roosevelt and Multiple Pathways PPS

Teen site center-based hours: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm

Teen parents must meet requirements by PPS to qualify.
College Classrooms for Parents:

EHS and HS classrooms are available at the Portland Community College Cascade and Southeast Campuses

Parent must be enrolled at PCC to qualify for the classroom.
Home-Based Programs
Visits from professionally trained Home Visitors in several capacities
Weekly Home Visits

Focus is on supporting the parent-child relationship and the parent's role as their child's first teacher.

Child development information is individualized to support the child's physical, social-emotional, and intellectual development.

Includes developmental screenings and assessments.
Prenatal Home Visits

Twice monthly home visits
-
Individualized information to meet the pregnant mother's needs.
