Coronavirus Information
AS WE ARE PROVIDED MORE INFORMATION WE WILL UPDATE THIS SECTION.
💥 Program Closure Update: August 6, 2020💥
Albina Head Start and Early Head Start will follow Portland Public Schools’ (PPS) schedule for services. Albina will only provide remote, virtual services for children and families until February 2021. We believe the safety of Head Start children, parents and staff dictates this difficult decision. Opening now for in person services would put children, parents and staff at high risk for contracting the virus.
We will begin remote classroom services for children and families as follows:
Early Head Start beings September 2nd
Head Start begins September 8th
Home Visitors will continue to provide home based services remotely through February 2021.

BRUSH, BOOK, BED
Brush, Book, Bed is an American Academy of Pediatrics Program with a simple and clear message for parents:
Each night:
-
Help your children to brush their teeth
-
Read a favorite book (or two!)
-
Get to bed at a regular time each night.
The Brush, Book, Bed message and program are intended for children 6 months – 6 years. The program aims to improve oral health services in the medical home by linking oral health information with messages about early literacy, sleep, and establishing a regular nighttime routine.
